Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra will be coming to end tomorrow in Jammu & Kashmir’s Srinagar. To make it a grandeur event, the Congress is planning something very big. Accordingly the Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge has invited 23 political parties and their chiefs to send a strong message to the BJP.
TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu is also among the 23 political parties who received an invitation from Congress besides Mamata Banerjee, Nitish Kumar and others. However we hear that Telugu Desam and its chief have decided to stay away from Bharat Jodo event.
Apparently Telugu Desam is looking to rejoin with BJP in both the Telugu states. On the contrary, the AP BJP is least interested in working with TDP and has been stating that their ally is Pawan Kalyan and Jana Sena Party. AP BJP is in no mood to reunite with Telugu Desam for unknown reasons and it’s the same case in other Telugu state.
In Telangana, TDP is trying its best to bounce back to its lost glory and the Khammam public gathering created some impact. But it’s the BJP that wants to emerge as an alternative force in the state against the BRS and is willing to go solo in the elections instead of any support from any party including TDP.
TDP and Congress joined hands in the 2018 elections and this alliance outcome was a disastrous one for both the parties. A few TDP seniors opined that teaming up with Congress was a historical blunder and since then the Telugu Desam is maintaining distance from Congress.
